Employers' Top Concerns for Hiring in the New Year

A recent survey from CareerBuilder demonstrates employers’ concerns for 2012. The study found that:

  • 68% are concerned about losing employees

  • 54% believe recruiting talented employees will be difficult

  • 42% changed the business direction because of the recession

  • 35% have smaller staff but increased demands for work

  • 19% have a talent gap from retiring employees and leaders

Employers will need a cost-effective hiring strategy that addresses increased demand, new business challenges and the difficulty of identifying the best candidates. Between active job seekers and a large pool of passive candidates, it will formidable to find the perfect match.
