Who Gets Hired?

Here are the results:

After careful consideration, the VP of Human Resources offered the position to Laura. Here’s what he gave as his reasons:

Manufacturing Experience: He liked Laura's background with manufacturing and felt that her experience would be valuable in working with a strong VP of Manufacturing and also in meeting the company’s goal of expanding the manufacturing area.  The company must carefully watch factors such as safety, and with Laura's background in training, the VP believed that she could design and initiate training programs to reinforce safety in the plant.

Knowledge of Law: Laura's knowledge of compliance and legislative issues was considered to be very important to the position, since the company was going through many changes.

Recruiting Experience: Since Laura's had designed a successful program to increase recruiting effectiveness and reduce cost per hire, the VP viewed her skill in this area as another way that she could save the company money and increase productivity in the manufacturing area.

Experience Working Independently: The VP viewed Laura's take charge personality and proven success working on her own, as indicators that she had the right skill sets for a good culture fit.

We wish her the best of luck in her new position!
